    Pvt Morillo Virgin was a resident of Tippecanoe County before joining the 40th Indiana and returned to this county upon his release from service. He had a wife and several children waiting for him there.

    George Washington Harvey was the son of Joseph Parnell Harvey of White County, Indiana yet enlisted in Tippecanoe County. His cousin, David P. Harvey was the son of John Pollard Harvey of Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
    George W. Harvey is buried Unknown at the Stone River National Battlefield Cemetery, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A memorial marker was placed in the Old Harvey Farm Cemetery, Tippecanoe County in his honor.
    David P. Harvey is buried in the Kennesaw Mountain National Cemetery.

  3. Recruit and later Private Michael Killien is actually Michael KilliAn and buried at Isley Cemetery in Tippecanoe County Indiana and a relative of mine. He emigrated to Indiana from Hess Darmstadt, now Germany in the 1850’s. 40th Infantry, Company D was his unit. Thank You Kindly.
